SONTU Medical and NMED Set Up CBCT Joint Research Laboratory

SONTU Medical has collaborated with the National Innovation Center for Advanced Medical Devices (NMED) and jointly established the advanced research laboratory to co-develop the core technologies and components for the cone-beam computed tomography system (CBCT).

The Joint Research Lab dedicates to the development and optimization of SONTU’s next-generation CBCT system, including the three-dimensional imaging system and the core components. The NMED is the first and only national innovation and R&D platform for medical devices by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The collaboration between SONTU and the NMED leverages the technical strengths and resources of both parties. Meanwhile, it bears the mission of promoting the technological advancement of high-end medical imaging equipment for the healthcare and clinical communities.

SONTU believes the co-development efforts will drive a great foundation and enhanced performance of the second-generation CBCT system. Our commitment is to provide the dental community with high-quality images and user-friendly equipment for the ultimate clinical experience and patient care.
